Connecting Ministries

Connecting Ministries
Small Groups and Affinity Groups
Through Small Groups and Affinity Groups we focus on becoming all we are in Christ through our gifts and passions. The idea behind Connecting Ministries is founded in 1 Corinthians 12:4-10 “God's various gifts are handed out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various ministries are carried out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various expressions of power are in action everywhere; but God himself is behind it all. Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people!” (The Message) Our desire in Connecting Ministries at CUMC is that we all grow in every aspect of life in Christ. God has created each of us with a unique passion for service, a desire for community, and a heart that longs to connect with Him. Finding the best place to connect with so many opportunities can sometimes be difficult. We are here to help! Some of our Ministry areas include Yoga, Faith in the Face of Science, Pet Ministries, Fine Arts, Encouraging Cards, Cooking and much more! Young Adult Ministries (YAM)
Around 75,000 20somethings live in the Bryan/College Station area, and all of them are in search of purpose and life. This is an age of self discovery... of finding out who we really are. This is one of the most critical times in our lives. And yet also it can be a time of great loneliness and brokenness. God cares for this generation and so do we at CUMC. We believe that God is calling our generation to be a light to the world! Our passion is to radiate the light of Christ in such a way that it not only changes our lives but the world around us.
