Camp Mending Hearts

July 15 - July 19 | 8:45AM to 12:00PM
Room: Children's Building

A FREE four day camp to help children express their grief in a fun and safe environment. Camp Mending Hearts gives young children the experience of healing together with other children who have also suffered loss and are trying to process their feelings of grief. Join us for play, laughter, and healing.

"Kids need the great big play to process great big feelings of grief!"

Open to children entering grades K-6th

Sunday July 15th is an orientation for 1 hour in the afternoon, campers will meet the facilitators, get their t-shirt, and a quick tour of the classes; this helps them get ready for the camp. The actual camp is Mon-Thu.

Parents drop the kids off between 8:30-8:45, after an opening session at 8:45 the kids are divided into three groups by grades; each group rotates to: games, crafts, healing circle/activity. At 12:00 the parents come back and we have a meal with parents, kids, and facilitators. We are working on a Bombers game for Monday night. Everything is free.
