Camp Mending Hearts

Camp Mending Hearts gives young children grades K-6 the experience of healing together with other children who have also experienced the death of a person in their life and are trying to process their feelings of grief. Join us for a week of play, laughter, and healing.

Sunday is orientation for 1 hour in the afternoon, campers will meet the facilitators, get their t-shirt, and a quick tour of the classes; this helps them get ready for the camp. The actual camp is Mon-Thu.

Parents drop the kids off between 8:30-8:45, after an opening session at 8:45 the kids are divided into three groups by grades; each group rotates to: games, crafts, healing circle/activity. At 12:00 the parents come back and we have a meal with parents, kids, and facilitators.

Each participant receives a t-shirt and usually attends a Brazos Valley Bombers game one of the evenings.

Everything is free.

Our next camp will be July 2020
