We are so excited! DIG fun is happening throughout the week now. See below for details on Sunday Mornings (Nursery and Sunday School) plus Wednesday Night Kids. We will still continue putting Sunday School videos online for as long as we need to for families that are not comfortable coming back in person. This website will keep updating regularly, so bookmark it and come back whenever you have questions. We are in this together! God is bigger than anything and we are committed to partnering with you on the faith formation of your kids.

Trunk or TReat
Sunday, October 25th is Trunk or Treat 2020! Join us in the front parking lot for games, candy, prizes, music, ice cream, and fellowship! Masks are encouraged and social distancing will be practiced!
To ensure that we are practicing social distancing and being as careful as possible, we are asking each family to RSVP for a time slot. These are 20 minutes blocks in which your family can arrive and help us give families plenty of space to move through the trunks safely! Please RSVP here.
We need help to make this event a success. If you are willing to volunteer for a trunk, games, check in, set-up, or clean up, please click the link here. Grab your friends and family, and help make Trunk or Treat possible! You can also help by bringing in bags of individually wrapped candy (no peanuts). Drop off Sunday morning in the Narthex or at the Annex offices during the week.
Nursery and Sunday School in person
Nursery and Sunday School are back together on campus again!
We are asking that families RSVP to reserve a spot for Nursery and Sunday School each Sunday you are going to attend. Yes, we understand this is a big change and hopefully we will not have to do this very long. However, maximum capacities have been determined for all classrooms and large spaces in accordance with state child care guidelines. Numbers will be limited for this reason and dependent on the number of nursery workers and volunteers available. Extra spots will be reserved for visitors or walk-ups, but we ask for everyone to RSVP so we can plan accordingly. Thank you for your help!

Covid-19 policies and procedures
The Re Entry Task Force, Children's Re-Entry Advisory Team and Children's Ministry Staff worked hard and developed procedures that will implement sanitization and social distancing practices to keep your families and volunteers healthy. Things will look differently now, just as with everything else in our world. We want to provide you as parents with all the information you need. With your help implementing these practices we can ensure a fun, loving environment for your kids to learn about God's love and grow in their faith! Please read the following documents for details on the new procedures that will be followed. We will continue to modify the procedures as needed to reflect the current State Child Care Guidelines.

Online SUNDAY SCHOOL
If you perfer to continue Sunday School at home, we will still be bringing you videos every week! Click below and you will be redirected to our YouTube channel. Take about 30 minutes sometime this week and spend time with God and let Him fill up your heart! Every week we will be updating our content to include a new lesson. It will be in our emails and on our kids facebook page.
Sunday School 10/11
This month, we are talking about integrity. Integrity is choosing to be truthful in whatever you say and do. That means you don’t have to try to be someone you’re not. You’re happy to be YOU! You can live truthfully and follow God, no matter where you are. This week’s Bible Passage will show us that we can be ourselves with God. We can ALWAYS go to Him, even we’ve done something wrong. We can know for SURE that He will always forgive us! We might still have to face the consequences of what we’ve done, but we know that we never have to hide the truth from God. He loves us no matter what—and being honest with Him is always best.
Bottom Line: Being truthful with God keeps you close to Him.

Sunday School 10/4
This month we're finding out what it means to drop the act... and live with integrity. Integrity is choosing to be truthful in whatever you say and do. That means you're the REAL you, wherever you are and whoever you are with. You don't need to hide or pretend. You choose to follow God and live each day in a truthful way. This week we will explore a bible story about a man named Daniel who chose to be true to himself as a follower of God and do the right thing.

If your kids are anything like mine, they are going to want screen time. Right Now Media is a GREAT christian option. And if you have not already signed up, you get a free account through Christ UMC! It has great cartoons and live action shows for kids of all ages plus short Bible Story and Devotional videos as well. And there is wonderful teen and adult content too.

Our Vision and Mission
DIG Children's Ministry focuses on laying a Biblical foundation, planting seeds of faith, and digging deep into God's word. We believe that faith formation happens both in the church and in the home, and want to come alongside parents to equip and empower them to be leaders in their child's spiritual journey!
Our ministry exists to bring children into age appropriate WORSHIP/SUNDAY SCHOOL where they will KNOW they belong to the family of God, GROW in their relationship with Christ and then go SHARE Christ in the world!
DIG Kids is led by a team of staff and volunteers whose passion is children! Our goal is to provide a FUN and interactive program tailored just for kids no matter what age and grade to help them know Jesus and grow spiritually as they build meaningful relationships with other childrena nd adults!

DIG Kids operates with four age-specific groupings. Each group has events throughout the year designed just for their group!

DIG Sunday School uses Gospel Project Curriculum and explores scripture and stories from the Old and New Testament. The Gospel Project® for Kids immerses kids and preschoolers in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through The Gospel Project® for Kids, kids and preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God's story of redemption.
9:30 am | Children's Worship and Sunday School - DIG kids worship is a special 20 minute worship designed for children. Children experience many elements of worship including reciting of the Apostles' Creed and Lord's Prayer, collection of offering, fun praise and worship, a bible story video, games and a mini-sermon or object lesson. 5th-6th graders are given leadership opportunities as they lead many aspects of the worship service. At the conclusion of the big group worship service, children break into grade-specific sunday school classes. *During COVID, we will be rotating classes through worship in Big House, sitting socially distant and sanitizing between groups.
9:30 Drop-off and Pick-Up: Children's building circle drive (look for the green DIG Kids flags). Drop-off begins at 9:15.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT KIDS
Wednesdays | 6:30-8:00 pm | BIG House
Wednesday nights are FUN for DIG Kids and their families! Bring to their own fun programming while there are many Adult Discipleship studies for you to join.

Childcare for Adult Bible Studies and Kids Bible Studies WILL be happening, just with our new screening, social distancing and sanitization protocols in place. We have some fun things planned for the kids! Register today.
