We miss you all so much at DIG Kids!  Even though we cannot be together right now, trust in the fact that God is bigger than this!  We are still a church family and are coming up with creative, fun ways that we can be together.  God is with you always and He will help you with everything.  Talk to Him everyday and ask Him for what you need.  Watch for God - look for what He is doing in your life right now.  Keep checking this page for updates on new things happening.  And email us if you have any prayer requests or just want to talk!

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Since we can't be with you in person, we are bringing Sunday School to you! Click below and you will be redirected to our YouTube channel. Take about 30 minutes sometime this week and spend time with God and let Him fill up your heart!  Every week we will be updating our content to include a new lesson.  It will be in our emails and on our kids facebook page. You can do Sunday School in your pajamas - YES!!!  You don't even have to worry about sleeping in, this video will be up all week!

PARENTS:  TALK TO YOUR KIDS ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON

Kids may be nervous during this uncertain time.  Excited that school is cancelled - yes!!  But, they will have lots of time to think about why, and may have a hard time voicing that concern.  This is a great opportunity to talk about how GOD IS IN CONTROL of everything!!!  That we can trust him with our future and our hearts even when things are not going the way we think they should be.  Pray with them and talk to them about your trust in God.  

Wonderful verses to read together:  Romans 8:28, Jeremiah 29:11, Phillipians 4: 6-7, Isaiah 41:10, Joshua 1:9, 1 Chronicles 29:11-12, Psalm 23:1-6, Psalm 118:6-7, Isaiah 40:28, Jeremiah 32:27 and so, so many more!

If your kids are anything like mine, they are going to want screen time.  Right Now Media is a GREAT christian option.  And if you have not already signed up, you get a free account through Christ UMC!  It has great cartoons and live action shows for kids of all ages plus short Bible Story and Devotional videos as well.  And there is wonderful teen and adult content too.

Our Vision and Mission

DIG Children's Ministry focuses on laying a Biblical foundation, planting seeds of faith, and digging deep into God's word. We believe that faith formation happens both in the church and in the home, and want to come alongside parents to equip and empower them to be leaders in their child's spiritual journey!

Our ministry exists to bring children into age appropriate WORSHIP/SUNDAY SCHOOL where they will KNOW they belong to the family of God, GROW in their relationship with Christ and then go SHARE Christ in the world!

DIG Kids is led by a team of staff and volunteers whose passion is children!  Our goal is to provide a FUN and interactive program tailored just for kids no matter what age and grade to help them know Jesus and grow spiritually as they build meaningful relationships with other childrena nd adults!

"I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God," Ephesians 3:16-19 

DIG Kids operates with four age-specific groupings. Each group has events throughout the year designed just for their group!

Sunday School

 DIG Sunday School uses Gospel Project Curriculum and explores scripture and stories from the Old and New Testament. The Gospel Project® for Kids immerses kids and preschoolers in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through The Gospel Project® for Kids, kids and preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God's story of redemption. 

9:30 am | Children's Worship and Sunday School - DIG worship is a special 20 minute worship designed for children. Children experience many elements of worship including reciting of the Apostles' Creed and Lord's Prayer, collection of offering, fun praise and worship, and a bible story video, mini-sermon or object lesson.  5th-6th graders are given leadership opportunities as they lead many aspects of the worship service.  At the conclusion of the big group worship service, children break into grade-specific sunday school classes.

11:00 am | Traditional Sunday School - Children will meet in Big House for announcements and review of the week's memory verse.  This is a smaller more intimate group with all ages together.  

Sunday School Drop- off:  9:30 - Grade Classrooms | Children's Building; 11:00 - Big House | Children's Building

Sunday School Pick-up: 9:30 - Divided age classrooms; 11:00 - Big House


KIDS' UNITE

Wednesdays | 6:30-8:00 pm | BIG House

Wednesday nights are FUN for Dig Kids and their families! Join us for dinner, then take the kids to their own fun programming while there are many Adult Discipleship studies.  

K-6th:  Kids' Unite enables kids to apply biblical truths as they experience God's Word through exciting games. Kids will spend time studying a bible passage line by line each week.  Then they will play games to reinforce the lesson's learned from the passage.  We end the night with questions for the kids, getting them to think about how to apply those lessons in their daily life.  There are many opportunities to earn Bible Bucks through class participation and at home challenges. 

*Nursery is available for kids birth through pre-K.  Pre-schoolers will enjoy Bible stories, crafts, games and activities.
