Welcome to the Christ UMC Women's Ministry

We are so glad you are interested in being a part of this ministry. Check out some of our events below, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions or new ideas for the group.

Ladies Who Lunch

Come eat lunch with us! Christ UMC Women's Ministry has a monthly "lunch bunch" that gives you the opportunity to meet, eat and make new friends. We meet at a different restaurant each time. Someone from Christ UMC will be there from 11:30 am-1:00 pm so you can come and go as you need to. No registration is necessary. Just show up! Dates and locations will be announced in the weekly email, bulletin, Facebook and here on our website. Contact Jana House with questions. See you there!

Projects with a Purpose

Fellowship (with a hot glue gun!)

Do you enjoy crafts? Do you like to create things with your hands? The mission of this ministry is to share with each other in Christian fellowship and create items to uplift people in our community for the glory of God. Our donated crafts benefit those whom we feel need love, encouragement and support.

Previous projects include:

  • making shoe patterns to benefit kids of Sole Hope
  • making Courage Capes for warrior kids with cancer
  • making Christmas crafts to benefit the Christ UMC Children's Ministry

This ministry meets once a quarter at Christ UMC. Please check the events tab for details on each event.

HeBrews Coffee Connection

Hope is brewing. Each month we draw names for a group of women to get to know one another better, learn about each other, the Bible, all while enjoying a good cup of joe! Times and locations will vary. If you're interested in joining this group, contact Ruthy Boring.

2019 Women's Retreat

Women from Christ UMC and the B/CS area joined together to Come to the Table this past weekend at Camp Allen! We had a great time sharing, laughing, praying and connecting with each other as we worked to deepen our relationship with Christ. Through small group discussions and quiet reflection, Jan Coates shared with us what releasing our burdens looks like so we can walk in God’s beautiful plans for our lives. Many thanks to Jan Coates, the Women’s Ministry Leadership Team and the Adored, Cherished, Chosen, Beloved and Blessed women who attended!

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

Alternating Mondays during the school year | 9:30-11:30 am

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is a network of moms who meet about twice a month to hear encouraging speakers and develop connections with other moms. A MOPS morning includes a warm breakfast and fellowship, followed by a presentation time. Our presentation subjects range from mothering, marriage, time management and health. They are followed by a small group discussion time providing an opportunity for deepening friendships and spiritual enrichment. Some meetings include a craft activity that provides a sense of accomplishment through creative expression.

If you would like to learn more about our MOPS group, please visit us here.
