Raising Kids in Today's Culture

January 22 | 10:00AM to 2:00PM

Our kids and teenagers are facing so many difficult and heavy issues today that leave us, as parents, with more questions than answers. The secular culture is constantly telling our teenagers who they should be and how they should live, and much of this directly contradicts what God wants and says about them.

Please join us for a Parenting Workshop entitled, “Raising Kids in Today’s Culture.” Our speaker, Kelli Gourley, will blend Biblical principles with the well-known Love and Logic parenting curriculum to teach you how to better guide and support your children as they navigate the difficult challenges that they encounter on a daily basis. Kelli is a Licensed Diplomat of Pastoral Counseling, and like her husband, Guy, she also holds a Master’s degree in Biblical Counseling, She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood Development and Substance Abuse Studies. Before entering the counseling field, she was an elementary public school teacher in Richardson, Texas. Kelli has extensive experience in working with parents of children from all age ranges, and is passionate about helping families find hope, strength, and meaning in the midst of pain and brokenness.

We hope you can join us for this incredible day of learning and growing as parents on Saturday, January 22nd from 10:00am-2:00pm on our church campus in the Youth Room. The cost of the event is $10 per person, and lunch and childcare will be provided.

Please register before January 19th. If you have any questions, please reach out to Hillary Oswald.
